I'm obsessed!

I love these new additions to our shop! Two 21" Boxwood balls that are perfect for your indoor planters! They are real, preserved plants that need minimal maintenance and yet they add so much character to any space!

We also have mini versions...ranging from 5.5" x 13" to 6.2" x 17", we have six in the shop! They are assorted shapes and you can put them together as a centerpiece or as a stand alone eye catcher. You know you need one, so come see us at the shop!

The Benefits of Hiring An Interior Designer

So much has been going on here at Shea Design, we have a new Facebook page, a Pinterest page, A BLOG, and now a twitter (go find us @SheaDesignfci). We have several ongoing projects we hope to share with everyone along with some past ones. We want to keep you up to date on the newest trends in French Country design and our inspirations for our projects! Also, we just got a new shipment in, so we will be updating all sites with pictures of our new arrivals so stay tuned!

Welcome to our new blog!!!

FRENCH COUNTRY IMPORTS and SHEA DESIGN reside in a row of charming French town houses at 6225 Old Poplar Pike (featured on our home page) in the heart of East Memphis’s finest residential neighborhood. The 5000 square foot shop invites the browser to wander from room to charming room in settings full of antique and decorative furniture and accessories. SHEA DESIGN occupies two upstairs rooms and is proud of its extensive library of fabric samples and catalogues.

LYNDA MEAD SHEA

Lynda received her interior design training at Parsons School of Design in New York and is an allied member of ASID. In 1982 she founded Shea Design with a focus on residential interior design. In 1984 she founded French Country Imports and in her nearly fifty buying trips to France has brought to her shop an amazing array of fine antique furniture and decorative objects. Her work on residences, inns, and public institutions can be seen in a number of national publications.
